Rio Tinto PLC Rio Tinto PLC is incorporated on March 30, 1962. The Company is an international mining group that is engaged on finding, mining and processing the Earth's mineral resources. Its products are Bauxite, Alumina, Aluminium, Salt, Diamonds, Borates and Titanium dioxide. The Company also produces products which include Thermal coal, Coking coal, Uranium, Iron ore, and Salt. The Company is a producer in the export thermal coal market. The Company also produces higher-value coking, or metallurgical, coal which, when treated into coke, is used in furnaces with iron ore to produce steel.
