Sussex Bancorp is a bank holding company incorporated under the laws of the State of New Jersey in January 1996 and the parent company of Sussex Bank. Sussex Bank is a New Jersey state chartered bank and provides full banking services. Its main business is ownership and supervision of the Bank. Through the Bank, it conduct a traditional commercial banking business, and offer services including personal and business checking accounts and time deposits, money market accounts and savings accounts. It structure its specific services and charges in a manner designed to attract the business of the small and medium sized business and professional community as well as that of individuals residing, working and shopping in the northern New Jersey and Orange County, New York trade areas. It's engage in a range of lending activities and offer commercial, consumer, mortgage, home equity and personal loans. The Company, through the Bank's subsidiary, Tri-State, operates a full service general insurance agency, offering both commercial and personal lines of insurance. The Company has two business segments, banking and financial services and insurance services. The Company's competitors include commercial banks, thrifts and other financial institutions, competing for deposits and loans. It is subject to the regulation and supervision of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (FRB).
