SandRidge Mississippian Trust I is a statutory trust. It holds Royalty Interests in specified oil and natural gas properties located in the Mississippian formation in Alfalfa, Garfield, Grant and Woods counties in Oklahoma.

SandRidge Mississippian Trust I is a statutory trust formed on December 30, 2010 under the Delaware Statutory Trust Act pursuant to a trust agreement by and among SandRidge Energy, Inc. as Trustor, The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Company, N.A., as Trustee, and The Corporation Trust Company, as Delaware Trustee. The Company completed its initial public offering in April 2011. The Trust holds Royalty Interests in specified oil and natural gas properties located in the Mississippian formation in Alfalfa, Garfield, Grant and Woods counties in Oklahoma. The Company receives royalties from the sale of oil, natural gas liquids ("NGL") and natural gas production. It has interest in 36 wells producing, and one additional well undergoing completion. The Company faces competition from oil and gas companies, independent oil and gas companies, and individual producers and operators in northern Oklahoma and southern Kansas. The oil and natural gas industry is extensively regulated by numerous federal, state, local and regional authorities, as well as Native American tribes.
