GuruFocus Profitability Rank ranks how profitable a company is and how likely the company’s business will stay that way. It is based on these factors:

1. Operating Margin
2. Trend of the Operating Margin (5-year average). The company with an uptrend profit margin has a higher rank.
••3. Consistency of the profitability
4. Piotroski F-Score
5. Predictability Rank•

The maximum rank is 10. A rank of 7 or higher means a higher profitability and may stay that way. A rank of 3 or lower indicates that the company has had trouble to make a profit.

Profitability Rank is not directly related to the Financial Strength Rank. But if a company is consistently profitable, its financial strength will be stronger.

Silver Wheaton Corporation was formed under the Business Corporations Act (Ontario). It is a silver streaming company in the world. The Corporation is actively pursuing further growth opportunities, mainly by way of entering into long-term silver purchase contracts. The Company currently has nine business segments: the silver produced by the Luismin, Zinkgruvan, Yauliyacu, Peñasquito, Cozamin, Barrick and Other mines, the silver and gold produced by the Minto mine and corporate operations. The Corporation's main product is silver that it has agreed to purchase pursuant to silver purchase agreements. There is a worldwide silver market into which the Corporation could sell the silver purchased under the silver purchase contracts and, as a result, the Corporation would not be dependent on a particular purchaser with regard to the sale of the silver that it acquires pursuant to its silver purchase agreements. The Company competes with other companies for silver purchase agreements and similar transactions. The Mining Operations are subject to extensive foreign laws and regulations governing exploration, development, production, exports, taxes, labour standards, waste disposal, protection and remediation of the environment, reclamation, historic and cultural resources preservation, mine safety and occupation health, handling, storage and transportation of hazardous substances and other matters.
