The Company through its wholly owned subsidiary, designs, develops and sells interactive technology products and integrated solutions that enhance learning. The Company provides collaboration solutions for education and business. It offers a range of SMART collaborative learning solutions that combine collaborative learning software with a comprehensive line of interactive displays, curriculum and assessment products, integrated hardware, and implementation and maintenance products and services to education market. It also provides Freestorm visual collaboration solutions, including a range of touch-sensitive interactive displays combined with intuitive software, remote conferencing capabilities, and interoperability and comprehensive services to business market. The Company's core interactive technology solution is its interactive whiteboard product category. SMART Board interactive whiteboards combine the simplicity of a whiteboard and the power of a computer. By touching the surface of a SMART Board interactive whiteboard, the user can control computer applications, access the Internet, write in digital ink and save and share work. Its interactive whiteboards are designed to serve as the focal point of a technology platform in classrooms and meeting rooms. Its line of interactive whiteboards ranges from the 400 series, to the 600 series, and the 800 series. As of March 31, 2011, The Company had shipped over 1.9 million of its SMART Board interactive whiteboards worldwide. The Company sells its products through dealers and to end users in the United States and internationally.
