United Continental Holdings Inc is a holding company. It is engaged in transports people and cargo through its mainline operations.

United Airlines operates more than 4,500 flights a day to 339 airports on five continents. United's hubs include San Francisco, Chicago, Houston, Denver, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, and Washington, D.C. United operates more than 720 mainline aircraft. The airline is a member of the Star Alliance, which provides service to 192 countries via 28 member airlines. In 2016, the carrier had $36.6 billion in revenue, of which $31.5 billion was passenger revenue.
