United Security Bancshares, Inc is a Delaware Corporation organized in 1999. The Company operates its banking subsidiary, First United Security Bank. The Bank conducts a general commercial banking business and offers banking services such as the receipt of demand, savings, individual retirement account and time deposits, personal and commercial loans, safe deposit box services and remote deposit capture. The Bank operates and serves its customers through nineteen banking offices located in Brent, Bucksville, Butler, Calera, Centreville, Coffeeville, Columbiana, Fulton, Gilbertown, Grove Hill, Harpersville, Jackson, Thomasville, Tuscaloosa and Woodstock, Alabama. The Bank has two wholly-owned subsidiaries: Acceptance Loan Company, Inc. and FUSB Reinsurance, Inc. ALC is an Alabama corporation that makes real estate and consumer loans to its customers and purchases similar loans from vendors. FUSB Reinsurance is an Arizona corporation that underwrites credit life and credit accident and health insurance policies sold to the Bank's and ALC's consumer loan customers. The Bank competes with numerous other financial services providers including commercial banks, online banks, credit unions, finance companies, mutual funds, insurance companies, investment banking companies, brokerage firms and other financial intermediaries operating in Alabama and elsewhere. The Company and the Bank are subject to state and federal banking laws and regulations that impose specific requirements and restrictions on, and provide for general regulatory oversight with respect to, virtually all aspects of operations.
