This is the Q3 portfolio update of Warren Buffett’s investment company Berkshire Hathaway. With the retirement of Lou Simpson and incoming to Todd Combs, there is a lot of change with the portfolio.

Berkshire sold out small positions such as RSG, IRM, KMX, NRG, HD. Those seem to be Lou Simpson’s picks. With his retirement, we will probably see some Todd Combs’ favorite stocks in Berkshire’s portfolio next quarter.

Berkshire added into Wells Fargo and Johnson & Johnson, which are Warren Buffett’s favorite stocks. It continues to reduce Moody’s. Although a profitable investment, Warren Buffett could have made much more money if he had sold the shares in 2007. Warren Buffett did not continue to sell ConicoPhilips.

As of 09/30/2010, Berkshire Hathaway owns 33 stocks with a total value of $48.6 billion. These are the details of the buys and sells.
