If you access www.gurufocus.com, you will notice we have released a new home webpage. Unlike the old home page, the new page organizes the sections in a more efficient way and offers a more user-friendly interface.

The page layout

Imagine a gray webpage filled with white sections that look like window panes. Our new home page organizes the sections in two neat columns, offering a cleaner design. One cool feature of the new home page is that you can customize the order of the sections using the mini-buttons in the upper right-hand corner of each section's window. For example, you can move a section to the top of the page using the “Move to Top” button (the left-most button).

Notice the windows in the left column are wider than those on the right. The left column contains the following sections:

  • Articles: This section is devoted to our editorial, which is further divided into five tabs: Editor’s Picks & Top Ranked, Latest Guru Updates, Warren Buffett (Trades, Portfolio) Watch, Investing Ideas and Features Announcements.
  • Latest Quotes: As the name implies, the “Latest Quotes” section lists the current price and other financial information about companies you recently searched.
  • Value Screens: This section gives you a snapshot of companies that make each of the most popular value screeners, like the Ben Graham Net-Net Screener, the Undervalued Predictable Screener and the Buffett-Munger Screener.
  • The left side of our new home page also contains snapshots of each of your portfolios. If you have not created any portfolios, you can create a portfolio using the long button in the “Track Your Portfolio Here” section.
  • Notice that we have added the new "Alert" tab to the "Latest Quotes" and each of your portfolios. This tab allows you to keep track of the latest updates for companies, including guru trades, insider trades and any new filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

In the right column, the page contains the following sections:

The right column also has a Survey section where you can give feedback on how to improve our new home page. We welcome any suggestions you may have. Additionally, we also show an advertisement about a new Excel Add-in feature, the GURUF function. Click on the orange “Download Now!” button to access our Excel Add-in download page, where you can view user manuals and tutorials on the new user-defined function.
