In spite of or because of the severe challenges the ethanol industry, Todd is in the process of successfully executing his portfolio optimization program to dramatically improve shareholder value. The program's objectives are to improve GPRE's balance sheet, enhance its operational efficiencies, strengthen its returns and narrow the sizable discount between the private and public valuations for ethanol assets.

Importantly, despite small refinery waivers there may be a path to improve the ethanol margins over the next 12 months assuming a US/China trade deal. We are pleased to welcome the President and CEO of Green Plains, Todd Becker, to provide insight into the outlook for ethanol, his strategy and the prospects of Green Plains.
