David J. Winter formed the Wintergreen Fund in 2005, a mutual fund based in New Jersey. Its total assets are more than $1.5 billion. The Fund invests in a multitude of countries outside the U.S., including Switzerland, Canada, and Hong Kong. About 55 percent of its portfolio is in consumer discretionary or staples industries, followed by about 10 percent in energy.
