GAMCO portfolio manager Lawrence Haverty was on Bloomberg to discuss Apple iPhone 5 launch, his views on the Apple (AAPL, Financial) as a business, Apple shares, Apple's profitability and Apple retail experience. He also discussed Google (GOOG, Financial)'s value proposition and how it is very different than Apple.

-- Apple sales volumes are "mind boggling."

-- iPhone 5 will push Apple to $6 billion in fourth-quarter profit. This alone will increase Apple market valuation by $60 billion based on 10 P/E multiple.

-- Apple has the brand, exceptionally great products and satisfied customers which gives them pricing power and great margins.

-- Apple products are changing the way the world works and increasing the productivity.

-- Apple is a growing worldwide phenomenon. They are doing amazing volumes in Hong Kong and Singapore

-- Don't see any competitor making too much dent into the Apple leadership in the market.

-- Thinks Apple and Google are like Coke vs. Pepsi: Both win. Google value proposition is totally different then Apple. Their prime objective is to drive traffic on their network and opportunity to put more ads. They couldn't care less about Apple vs. Android device battle.

-- Thinks Apple might pay one-time special dividend before the dividend tax goes up.
