Good afternoon, everyone. Good afternoon. My name is Zach Kirkhorn. I lead finance here at Tesla, and welcome to our Investor Day.
For those of you here in the audience at our global headquarters in Austin, Texas we welcome you. Thank you for being here, and thank you for traveling in. For those joining us virtually, thank you for being a part of the day today.
So as we reflect back on the history of the company, there's been distinct phases of product advancement, technology innovation and rapid volume growth. The most recent of which has been the global expansion and localization of the Model Y program. And so today, we want to talk about the future.
We don't want to talk about this quarter or next quarter. We want to go further out into the future. And we've divided today's presentation into 3 parts. The first of which we're going to go macro. What does it take to convert earth to sustainable energy generation and use. The second, we want to talk about Tesla's contribution to that global need. And
