Good morning. My name is Robert Forrester. I'm the Chief Executive of Vertu Motors, and I'm joined by our Chief Financial Officer, Karen Anderson, to present our financial results for the 6 months ended 31 August 2020.
It was actually a very successful first half, beyond any expectations that we could have hoped for when we got locked down by the government on the 23rd of March. The business has actually made massive progress and, I think, taking full advantage of the tailwinds, which the U.K. automotive retail sectors had since lockdown, which has come back very, very strongly. We had a strong business before in terms of the fundamentals, but I think we've improved it in H1 to give ourselves a stronger business now.
And if you look at the performance, we generated profit, which certainly wasn't my expectation in -- at the end of March. We've actually generated in September, a record profit in terms of the month in the history of the group in terms of September or March, the highest in our history.
