'The Writing on the Wall' -- The Epidemic of Information Overload and the Individual Investor

As is my wont, I was thinking over the weekend about stocks, investing, broadcasting, and how much news the individual investor has access to over the course of a single day. Imagine the myriad sources that you - the individual investor - have access to on a daily and hourly basis. What affect do you think this has on your investing strategy?


Bloomberg has its own television channel, as does CNBC. And CNN has a nightly show dedicated to stocks and finance. When you drive to work you have the choice of either listening to Bloomberg radio or listen to various investment based radio shows. Also, these radio shows are on during many, many different times during the day which means that you have multiple chances to listen to the stock markets’ various gyrations.Â
