While other wireless carriers have already provided the release date for LG G4 which happens to be the flagship phone of LG Display Co. Ltd. (LPL, Financial) at their stores, U.S. wireless carrier, AT&T (T, Financial), declared on May 29 that the latest smartphone of LG would be available at its stores across the nation on June 5. This date matches with the release date for this mobile in the stores of Sprint Corp (S, Financial), while Verizon Communications (VZ, Financial) would start carrying this handset from June 4. Let’s quickly have a glance at AT&T proposed plan of action with regard to the release of LG G4 handset on a nationwide basis.

The proposition

The wireless carrier has announced that customers interested to buy the LG handset through its stores could place pre-orders on its site from May 29 onwards until it’s formally released by AT&T on June 5. However, it is still not very clear if AT&T would ship the pre-orders before the actual launch date set by the company’s top brass.

AT&T is launching lucrative programs associated with the release of LG G4 smartphone through its stores. It might be stated that AT&T does not intend to keep any stone unturned to grow its subscriber base and thus is providing promotional offers in combination with buying this handset through its stores to customers.

Let’s find out how AT&T is sweetening the deal for LG’s G4 smartphone for its customers in order to keep its user base moving higher to create new records while the competition in the wireless carriers segment is intensifying at a rapid pace.

Adding sweeteners to the said deal

The LG G4 handset had been initially announced to have six color variants but all the six are not available from the initial launch. AT&T would be selling the black leather and the titanium silver colors for now since its initial release.

Since the G4 is a highly sophisticated and impressive 5.5 inch flagship smartphone with IPS quantum display, there will surely be many urging to buy the phone with a contract. Keeping this factor in mind, AT&T has decided to offer the Metallic grey model through its Next program for zero down payment, while the Next 12 program offers the device with 20 monthly installments of $31.50 each and the Next 18 program offers the same device at $26.25 monthly installment for 24 months. Besides this, the smartphone would be available for $239.99 on a two year contract, while buying the handset without any contract would cost the customer around $629.99. For the Black leather version, the Next 12 program would offer the device for 20 monthly equated installments of $33.50 each while the Next 18 program would offer the same for 24 equated installments of $27.92 each.

The Black leather version would come at a premium cost of $239.99 with a 2-year contract and the off-contract price would hover around $669.99.

Also there are deals from LG that is also been offered through AT&T or any other U.S. carrier. Those buying the handset between May 29 and June 21 from any wireless carrier will get a free 32-GB micro-SD card, an extra 3,000 mAH battery and an extra battery charging cradle with absolutely zero expense.

To sweeten the deal further AT&T has given a proposal that anyone who buys the LG G4 through its retail stores or by online pre-orders can also buy the LG G Pad F 8.0 tablet for $0.99 on contract. This is pretty lucrative bearing in mind that the tablet costs around $149.99 with a two-year agreement when purchased separately.

Last word

With AT&T’s recent announcement on LG G4’s release date, one thing is clear that all the U.S. wireless carriers are carrying at least one leather variant and one regular model of the flagship brand at their stores. Regarding the sales of LG G4 from AT&T outlets, let’s keep an eye on whether the offer of AT&T on the two LG G4 model versions finds acceptance at large in the U.S.
