Buffett named Ajit Jain and Greg Abel to vice chairman roles on Wednesday

Warren Buffett (Trades, Portfolio), 87, and Charlie Munger (Trades, Portfolio), 94, have taken a step in their succession planning at Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A, Financial)(BRK.B, Financial) by naming two new vice chairmen to the company's board. The two legendary investors discussed their choices, Ajit Jain and Greg Abel, on CNBC's Squawk Box with Becky Quick on Wednesday morning.

Warren Buffett: Abel and Jain will know a lot more a year from now from CNBC.

Charlie Munger: I think promoting Greg Abel and Ajit Jain 'is a very good idea' from CNBC.
