Microsoft Corp.(MSFT, Financial) CEO Satya Nadella sat down with CNBC's Squawk Alley to discuss the $7.5 billion purchase of GitHub, which was announced on Monday. During the interview, he also discussed data security and the company's outlook.
He said he believes software developers are the future of not just tech, but all sectors of the economy. Nadella is transitioning Microsoft into a fully engaged digital company. In regard to GitHub, he makes it clear the platform will remain open and operate separately from Microsoft.
