Hans Vestberg discusses plans to deliver 5G to the masses

Hans Vestberg, Verizon Communications' (VZ, Financial) new CEO, sat down with CNBC on Wednesday to discuss plans for 5G, Apple TV and Youtube.

The company is planning to be the first to bring 5G technology to the masses throughout the U.S. In addition to its benefits, Vestberg discussed how the cost of 5G will go down over time.

He also touched on T-Mobile's (TMUS, Financial) merger with Sprint (S, Financial).Â
