GuruFocus is pleased to offer a new version of the guru pages for Warren Buffett (Trades, Portfolio) and other top gurus like David Einhorn (Trades, Portfolio), David Tepper (Trades, Portfolio), Bill Ackman (Trades, Portfolio), Carl Icahn (Trades, Portfolio) and Prem Watsa (Trades, Portfolio).

In Part 1, we discussed three key features of Buffett’s new guru page, including the key guru statistics section, the flash chart and the portfolio composition chart.

New Current Portfolio page

As Figure 1 illustrates, the “Current Portfolio” page includes a table that lists the weightings for each of the 11 market sectors as defined by Morningstar Inc. (MORN, Financial). The guru’s largest sectors in terms of portfolio weight appear at the top of the table.

For example, Buffett’s top three sectors in terms of portfolio weight are financial services, technology and consumer staples.

The page then lists any real-time picks the guru made since the latest portfolio date, followed by the guru’s current holdings. For example, Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRK.A, Financial)(BRK.B, Financial) made a real-time trade in Phillips 66 (PSX, Financial) on Aug. 31.

You can narrow the list of holdings to a specific sector by clicking the “Select Sector” drop-down menu. For example, as illustrated in Figure 2, Buffett’s financial services holdings include Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS, Financial), US Bancorp (USB, Financial), Bank of New York Mellon Corp. (BK, Financial) and American Express Co. (AXP, Financial).

You can also view past portfolios by clicking on the “Portfolio Date” drop-down menu and selecting the desired portfolio date. Figure 3 illustrates other page options, which include displaying the Peter Lynch Chart for all companies listed in the active table and downloading the portfolio as an Excel file.

New Sector Weightings page

GuruFocus has launched a more interactive version of the “Sector Weightings” page as Figure 4 illustrates.

The Sector Weightings page contains two pie charts and two “weighting history charts.” The top pie chart illustrates the portfolio weightings for each sector while the bottom pie chart illustrates the industry weightings within a specific sector. For example, financial services make up 40.5% of Buffett’s portfolio. Additionally, credit services make up 9.17% of Buffett’s portfolio dedicated to financial services.

You can change the active sector by either clicking on that sector in the top pie chart or selecting the desired sector from the drop-down menu located in the upper-right corner of the top weighting history chart. Likewise, you can change the active industry by either clicking on that industry in the bottom pie chart or selecting the desired industry from the drop-down menu located in the upper-right corner of the bottom weighting history chart.
