Philip Morris (PM, Financial) CEO Andre Calantzopoulos sat down with CNBC Thursday to discuss the merger talks with Altria (MO, Financial) and how they fell through. He also discussed the vaping bans going into effect in the U.S. and around the world. During the interview, Calantzopoulos discussed how the vaping bans and potential of new regulations affected the merger talks. He also said shareholders weren't behind the merger and didn't understand how e-cigarettes and vaping will lead to a decline in the cigarette market.
