American Outdoor Brands Corp is a Nevada corporation. The Company manufactures firearms. It manufactures an array of handguns, modern sporting rifles, hunting rifles, black powder firearms, handcuffs, and firearm-related products and accessories for sale to a variety of customers, including gun enthusiasts, collectors, hunters, sportsmen, competitive shooters, individuals desiring home and personal protection, law enforcement and security agencies and officers, and military agencies in the United States and throughout the world. It is one of the manufacturers of handguns, modern sporting rifles, and handcuffs in the United States, and an active participant in the hunting rifle market. The Company sells its products products under the Smith & Wesson brand, the M&P brand, the Thompson/Center Arms brand, and the Performance Center brand. It manufactures its firearm products at its facilities in Springfield, Massachusetts and Houlton, Maine. In addition, it pursues opportunities to license its name and trademarks to third parties for use in association with their products and services. The Company sells its products and services through a variety of distribution channels. Its competitors are Ruger and Taurus in the revolver market and Beretta, Glock, Ruger, Sig Sauer, and Springfield Armory in the pistol market. The Company competes with Bushmaster, Rock River, Stag Arms, and DPMS in the modern sporting rifle market; and Browning, Marlin, Remington, Ruger, Savage, Weatherby, CVA, Traditions, and Winchester in the hunting rifle market. It is regulated by the ATF, which licenses the manufacture and sale of firearms.
