New Gold Inc is an intermediate gold mining company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of natural resource properties.

New Gold Inc was incorporated on January 31, 1980 and was formerly known as DRC Resources Corporation. On June 1, 2005 the Company changed its name to New Gold Inc. Effective January 1, 2012; the Company completed an amalgamation with its wholly-owned subsidiaries Silver Quest Resources Ltd., Geo Minerals Ltd. and Richfield Ventures Corp. It is an intermediate gold mining company engaged in the development and operation of mineral properties. The Company's segments are Gold, Copper, and Silver and other. The assets of the Company, directly or through its Subsidiaries, are comprised of the New Afton Mine in Canada, the Mesquite Mine in the United States, the Peak Mines in Australia and the Cerro San Pedro Mine in Mexico. Its projects include the Rainy River and Blackwater projects, both in Canada, and a 30% interest in the El Morro copper‐gold project in Chile.
