It was organized by a consortium of Argentina and international investors to acquire a controlling interest in the common stock of Telecom Argentina which was formed as a result of the privatization of the public telecommunication services under the name of 'Sociedad Licenciataria Norte S.A.'. The Telecom Group provides fixed-line public telecommunication services, international long-distance service, data transmission, Internet services and directories publishing services in Argentina.
