PDF Solutions Inc was incorporated in November 1992. The Company completed its initial public offering in July 2001. It provides infrastructure technologies and services to improve yield and optimize performance of integrated circuits. Its solutions consist of integration engineering services, proprietary software, and other technologies designed to address its customers' manufacturing and design issues. Its solutions include Manufacturing Process Solutions; Volume Manufacturing Solutions; and Design-for-Manufacturability. Its solutions combine software, physical intellectual property in the form of cell libraries for IC designs, test chips, an electrical wafer test system, proven methodologies, and professional services. The Company's software products and technologies include Characterization Vehicle Infrastructure, which consists of CV Test Chips, pdCVAnalysis Software, and pdFasTest Electrical Wafer Test system; Yield Ramp Simulator or YRS Software; Template Technology; Exensio YieldAware Enterprise Platform, consists of dataPOWER YMS Software and Maestria FDC Software. The Company's current customers are foundries, integrated device manufacturers, and fabless semiconductor design companies such as Global Foundries Inc., Samsung Electronics, and International Business Machines Corporation, among others. Its competitors include KLA-Tencor, Mentor Graphics, Rudolph Technologies Inc., Synopsys, Inc. and Applied Materials, Inc., among others.
