ReneSola Ltd along with its subsidiaries is engaged in the manufacture and sale of solar power products including virgin polysilicon, monocrystalline and multi crystalline solar wafers and photovoltaic (PV) cells and modules.

ReneSola is a Chinese manufacturer of crystalline silicon raw material, ingots, and solar wafers. Solar wafers are used by manufacturers of photovoltaic cells for the generation of electricity from sunlight. Wafer manufacturing entails growing silicon ingots in furnaces and slicing or "wafering" those ingots into a usable form for solar cell makers. The company commenced operations in 2005.
