It is different this time. At the moment, I do not own any memory chip stocks at the moment.

1) The internet and PCs all demanded the same type of memory. Today's memory demand spans a wide array of chips.

2) In the 1990s it took 12 to 18 months from breaking ground to first wafers. Today it takes three to five years to start volume production.

3) There were minimal barriers to entry to build PCs or create websites with commercial potential. Today it takes considerable capital to build an AI business.
