2026 Q2
Third Point Q2 2026 Investor Letter MLHL
What the manager wrote

The acquisition of Arcosa is a significant extension of CRH's strategy, adding approximately 35 million tons of annual aggregates production and providing entry into key markets like Dallas–Fort Worth and Phoenix. This transaction is expected to generate around $175 million of annual run-rate synergies through various efficiencies, making it accretive to earnings, margins, and cash flow in its first year. CRH's unique combination of scarce reserves and disciplined capital allocation has created a business with greater resilience and more attractive returns than its historical classification suggests.
