  • Electro Optic Systems Hldgs Ltd (EOPSF) reported a significant increase in their order book, reaching AUD459 million by the end of 2025, up from $136 million at the end of 2024.
  • The company achieved a breakthrough by signing the first 100-kilowatt high-energy laser weapon export contract, positioning itself as a leader in the laser weapon market.
  • EOPSF has expanded its geographical presence with new offices in Europe, including France, the UK, the Netherlands, and Germany, enhancing its sales capabilities.
  • The gross margin improved to 63%, reflecting a continued multiyear improvement in the base gross margin of the business.
  • The acquisition of MARSS, a company with AI technology, enhances EOPSF's product offerings in counter-drone solutions and integrated systems, providing a competitive edge.
Negative
  • Revenue for 2025 was $128.5 million, down from the previous year due to the divestment of EM Solutions and delayed order intakes.
  • The underlying EBITDA was a loss of $24 million, primarily driven by lower revenue and increased operating expenses.
  • The company faces long lead times in the supply chain for key components, affecting the delivery timeline of high-energy laser weapons.
  • The Korean high-energy laser contract remains highly conditional, with no deposit received yet, creating uncertainty in the order book.
  • Military procurement cycles are lengthy, which could delay the realization of revenue from new orders, despite growing demand for counter-drone products.
