Small biotech has been the genesis of every approved class of drugs for myeloma and all new myeloma classes of drugs have had at least two FDA designations like orphan drug or fast track. Specifically, that just means that the FDA has looked down, feels that these drugs are really anointed as great drugs for these orphan diseases. Myeloma, for example, as eight such drugs with dual designations and six of those are from small pharma. So small pharma likes Cellectar has four such designations for orphan diseases and as a new class of drug with application across many cancers.
