CoreSite Realty Corp is a real estate investment trust that acquires, constructs, and operates data centers in large urban markets across the United States. Through its data centers, the company provides the power, cooling, storage space, and network connectivity needed for firms to operate their data servers and technology infrastructure. CoreSite derives the vast majority of its revenue from its data centers in the form of rent, power, and interconnection fees. Most of this revenue comes from its facilities in the Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Northern Virginia areas. CoreSite serves customers from a variety of industries, notably financial, healthcare, education, government, manufacturing, and professional services firms.
