Ladies and gentlemen, as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, I hereby open this year's Annual General Meeting of GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft. And in accordance with the company's articles of association, I will take over as Chairman. On behalf of the Supervisory Board and the Executive Board, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to you, dear shareholders and proxies.

This year's meeting will be held as a virtual Annual General Meeting without the physical presence of shareholders or their proxies with the exception of the company-appointed proxies in accordance with the German COVID-19 Mitigation Act. The Executive Board and the Supervisory Board have decided to do so in order to provide adequate protection for you and all participants on stage and behind the scenes. On the other hand, you, ladies and gentlemen, should of course be given the opportunity to exercise your rights as far as possible.
