Great. All right. Well, good afternoon. I'm Steve Valentino, I co-head our global FIG business, and welcome to the Global Financial Services conference. We're pleased today to have Ares Capital, and Michael Smith join us at the conference. As I believe, is the third or fourth year in a row for Ares.
Ares Capital is the largest BDC in the U.S. with over $15 billion in total assets and had a very impressive track record of having invested close to $60 billion in capital over the last 15 years, delivering over $1 billion of cumulative net realized gains. And their equity has been a 30% return over the S&P 500 since its IPO. So great track record.
Michael joining us is the Co-President of Ares Capital as well as the partner and Co-head of the Ares Credit Group. So Michael, great to have you with us, and welcome to the conference.
