Safran SA to Acquire Collins Aerospace's Actuation and Flight Control Business Call Transcript
Hello, ladies and gentlemen. I would like first to thank you all for being here today with us under a very, very short notice. And I would like to apologize for that. But we are going to talk this morning about our project to acquire Collins Aerospace, actuation and flight control business. Collins is today a leading global provider of hydraulic and electromechanical actuation and flight control systems with a business which is basically around $1.5 billion of sales planned in 2024.
We are contemplating this acquisition because it is for us a unique opportunity to expand our aerospace equipment activity in another mission-critical segment, which is a segment of flight controls and actuation. Flight controls is indeed mission-critical equipment for aircraft. This contemplated acquisition in this business has a strong fit with our DNA because it's leading technologies. It's a recurring aftermarket sales as well and profitable growth. On top of that, this acquisition would position us very nicely for the next-gen aircraft, and I will develop that
