Northern Star Resources Ltd to Acquire 50% of Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines Pty Ltd Super Pit and Associated Assets - Call Transcript
Good morning, and thanks for joining us. On the call today, we have Chief Executive Officer, Stuart Tonkin, CFO, Ryan Gurner, our Chief Geological Officer, Michael Mulroney; and our Chief Development Officer, Darren Stralow.
In terms of running through the pack, you'll hear from the team after I touch on some of the high points of the transaction. This is a fantastic day for Northern Star for Kalgoorlie and the KCGM Super Pit and indeed for the Australian gold sector in general. The Kalgoorlie Super Pit is once again 100% owned by Australian companies. More importantly, it's 100% owned by 2 companies with the combined skills, experience, and hung up to build on the great work done by Newmont and unlock the huge value of this truly world-class asset. This is one of the greatest gold systems in the world at an 80-million ounce gold endowment so far and open in every direction.
