Good morning. I'm Torbjorn Magnusson, Group CEO of Sampo. And it's my pleasure to give you an overview of Sampo's full year results for 2023.
In the year, we maintained our strong momentum and delivered top line growth of 11%, driven by continued solid development in the Nordics and price increases in the U.K. Profit before taxes for '23 increased to EUR 1.5 billion from EUR 800 million, and we delivered a group combined ratio of 84.6% comfortably within our target.
Our margins have thus been stable, and we have delivered an underwriting result of EUR 1.2 billion despite large claims and adverse weather events as we remain disciplined in our underwriting. All this is possible because of our strengths and the strength in our business model.
