So Quantum-Si is the protein-sequencing company. We have an experienced team from companies like Illumina, MilliporeSigma, and Ion Torrent.
Our proprietary time domain sequencing technology is a novel method to sequence peptides at the amino acid level in a massively parallel fashion on a semiconductor chip. It's protected by more than 1,000 issued and pending patents and was peer-reviewed in the journal Science in October of 2022.
In December, we announced the launch of Platinum, the world's first next-generation single-molecule protein-sequencing instrument. In January, we announced that we had begun to ship orders to our initial customers, and we expect to book revenue in the first quarter of 2023.
