Its products also allow its customers to insert advertising into broadcast and VOD content. Its business is comprised of three product areas: multi-screen television, television advertising and video gateway software. It currently sells its products to video service providers, including cable system operators and telecommunications companies. In the market for multi-screen video, it competes with various larger companies offering video software back office platforms and applications such as Cisco Systems, Inc., Arris Group Inc. (ARRIS), and Ericsson Inc. In its video gateway software market, it competes with system integrators and gateway software and applications vendors who offers proprietary software and hardware solutions. In the advertisement platform market, it generally competes with ARRIS and BlackArrow. It has been granted 30 patents (including 28 U.S. patents).

(NASDAQ:SEAC) proudly announced today that Midco, its longtime customer and partner, is upgrading its multi-market SeaChange-based video-on-demand system to the next-generation SeaChange Adrenalin multiscreen capable software platform.
