Key Points

Positve
  • Vinci SA (VCISF) delivered an excellent first half of 2026, with revenue up 2% and EBITDA up 4% to EUR6.4 billion, despite a challenging geopolitical and macroeconomic environment.
  • Energy Solutions continued its strong momentum, with revenue up 7% and a further margin improvement of 40 basis points to 7.8%, positioning it among the top global performers.
  • The group achieved a record order book of nearly EUR77 billion, up 8% year-on-year, representing 15 months of activity and providing strong future visibility.
  • Free cash flow was positive at EUR264 million in H1, a noteworthy achievement given the group's typical seasonality, and the company confirmed its 2026 guidance for further growth.
  • Vinci SA (VCISF) demonstrated strong strategic expansion, including winning new PPPs in Brazil, being designated preferred concession holder for a new highway in France, and making progress on major airport projects in Lisbon and London Gatwick.
  • The company's decentralized organization and cost-control culture enabled it to adapt rapidly to headwinds, such as traffic softness, and protect margins across its concessions businesses.
Negative
  • Concessions traffic was negatively impacted by geopolitical tensions and macroeconomic factors, including the fuel price hike in March and exceptional heat waves, leading to a 3.7% drop in light vehicle traffic on French motorways.
  • The group adjusted its outlook for stable airport traffic and slightly lower motorway traffic due to recent geopolitical and macro events, indicating a more prudent near-term view for concessions.
  • Vinci SA (VCISF) acknowledged being underrepresented in the U.S. data center market, which limits its ability to fully capitalize on the significant growth opportunities there.
  • The company's net financial debt increased by around EUR3 billion in the first half, reflecting typical seasonality, and finance costs rose by EUR55 million due to changes in scope.
  • The construction business saw a slight revenue decline of 1% in H1, with a downturn in France and a decrease in major project activity, although Q2 showed some stabilization.
  • The group faces a higher tax charge, including the extended corporate income tax surcharge for large French companies, which is expected to total over EUR400 million for the full year.

Good morning to you all. Thanks for joining us for the presentation of Vinci's half-yearly results. You'll see, and I'm sure you've already read that our financial performance is excellent, I would say.

Even once again excellent. I'm joined today by Thierry Mirville, CFO of Vinci since the 1st of June. Thierry's been the group for over 30 years. He's a pure product made in Vinci and notably was CFO of Vinci Energy for 12 years, taking an active part in this tremendous success story. He was head of treasury. Finance and tax so Vinci at the holding for three years with Christian Laberie. He was schooled in good hands so he was CFO Vinci Construction for five years on my side.
