Then there is Albert Chao, who has been CEO of Westlake Chemicals since 2004 and is also co-founder. Westlake is a leading producer of olefins, polymers, chlor-alkali, vinyls and building products. Its joint venture cracker with Lotte recently started up, and Westlake increased its ownership in that cracker to 47%; plus, management is also expanding its vinyls footprint on the U.S. Gulf Coast and in Europe.
