The company generates revenue in three ways: through fees on mortgage loan initiation; by selling on the secondary market loans that it initiated; and by servicing loans. The company outsources its services to clients that include financial institutions and real estate brokers. It also generally retains the servicing rights on loans it has sold and acts as a subservicer on behalf of other clients that own serving rights.
