Assore Ltd is a mining holding company, and its primary investment is a 50% investment in Assmang, which it controls jointly with African Rainbow Minerals. The group is engaged in mining of iron, manganese, and chrome ores, together with other industrial minerals and the production of manganese alloys. In addition, the company is also responsible for marketing all products produced by Assore and Assmang, the majority of which is exported, with the remainder either used in the group's beneficiation processes or sold locally.
