GE Aerospace, the continuation of General Electric after the spin-offs of GE HealthCare in January 2023 and GE Vernova in April 2024, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of commercial and military aircraft engines. Together with partner Safran through the 50/50 CFM International joint venture, it powers roughly three of every four commercial flights, with engine families including the best-selling CFM56 and LEAP for narrowbody aircraft and the GE90, GEnx, and GE9X for widebodies. The majority of revenue and profit comes from long-cycle aftermarket services, spare parts, and shop visits across an installed base of tens of thousands of engines. Its defense business supplies engines for fighters, helicopters, and military transports, and the company also develops propulsion technologies including hybrid-electric and open-fan architectures. GE Aerospace is headquartered in Evendale, Ohio.
