Here was 2010”²s list:
1- Israel, seeing America’s new foreign policy is “your on your own” strikes at Iran (carry over from 2009)….. nope
2- As economic activity picks up, oil passes $100 in spring and does not look back and at one point surpasses $125 …. nope
3- Gold plummets back under $825 an ounce and the US dollar rallies 25% .. nope
4- US housing prices fall another 20% (we’ll measure this w/Case Shiller) … sales did…..price remains essentially flat
5- Tim Geithner does not finish 2010 at Treasury, Bernanke remains at the Fed ….nope..Geithner seems to be the last man standing
6- 2010=1995 in Congressional elections. Media, not knowing what to make of it calls the elections racist and blames global warming for damaging voters brains. Obama offers to have beer with all those not voting for Democrats… YUP
7- Evidence reveals that Bin Laden has been dead for several years … Jury out
8- Despite recent pronouncements, Bernanke is forced to raise rates 3 times in 2010 … nope…not even close
9- Job growth in 2010 is non existent but corporate profits surge due to cost cutting pushing the Dow over 12,000 2 out of three on this one, no job growth, profits surged and Dow 11,500
10- New York Yankees Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez disclosed their “special friendship” ……. not that there is anything wrong with that……. :) ….. Jury out

1- Israel attacks Iran. I am taking the perma-bear stock market approach with this. I will predict it every year until it happens then proudly announce “I predicted that”.
2- Gold and 30yr. US Treasuries fall 20% or more
3- Unemployment ends the year under 9%
4- Shares of NFLX fall 40% or more
5- $100 oil and $4 a gallon gas are called the “New normal”
6- PIMCO’s Bill Gross finally admits he doesn’t have a f’ing clue about what stock prices will do. El-Erian says “the new normal is us make more erroneous new normal predictions”
7- Jeter/Arod …. see 2009….”not that there is anything wrong with that”….
8- Geithner, realizing people now utterly ignore everything he says and even forget he is Treasury Sec. changes his name to “Lil Timmy G” and begins rapping Congressional testimony in a desperate move to get noticed.
9- My Buffalo Bills…….oh hell, never mind….
10- Dow 2011 year end…12,800 ( I have no idea but all the types of posts have a Dow prediction so I think it is mandatory)
