Donald Yacktman was on CNBC yesterday. Over the past 18 years, Yacktman's fund has beat the S&P500 by 3.1% annually. Yacktman is up 4% ytd. He is not concerned about the recent volatility. Yacktman loves down markets. He bought Cisco, HP and NewsCorp recently. Yacktman said "why wouldn't anyone buy Pepsi, which is yielding more than a ten year treasury?" He also cautioned investors about only looking at dividend yields. Yacktman is not sure whether we will have recession, but thinks it is more likely that US will experience a slow recovery.
