InterDigital (IDCC, Financial) reported strong earnings and increased guidance during the quarter. The patent licensingcompany is benefiting from increased adoption of 5G wireless technology as well as growth in its internet-of-things (IoT), machine-to-machine communication and video businesses. We believe the company’s unique business model and market position are going to benefit from increasing operating leverage as technologies using their patents are more widely adopted.
