Market rally pauses as S&P 500 snaps eight-day win streak

On Tuesday, the Standard & Poor’s 500 index closed at 4,685.26, down 16.45 points from Monday’s close of 4,701.70 and snapping an eight-day winning streak.

Stocks slipped from Monday’s record close on the back of the Labor Department reporting a 0.6% gain in producer price indexes in October, in line with the Dow Jones consensus estimate.

Investors are also monitoring the release of the October consumer price index data, which is set to come out on Wednesday.
