In an interview with CNBC, John Taylor, one of the world's best currency strategists, recommended shorting the U.S. dollar.

"Europe is looking weak. The United States is looking stronger. We're worried about China."

Taylor said that he was bullish on the U.S. for the next month as interest rates rise in the U.S.

However, Taylor thinks that Bernanke wants to weaken the U.S. dollar.

"I mean the euro's best friend is Ben Bernanke. when the dollar begins to look strong, Ben Bernanke pounds it into the ground, that helps the euro. With the change in the leadership at the ECB, we're seeing a different point of view of where it should be. I think it will finally go down this year."

Taylor has been critical of central bank intervention over the last few years.

In his March 2012 shareholder letter he stated:

"All this money sloshing around is nothing but kindling. This is enough to start one hell of a large inflationary fire, but probably not until we have deflationary panic first - which will add even more kindling to the pile."
