According to Jim Rogers the Canadian and American mints have almost completely run out of coins as frightened investors have taken to stockpiling them to protect their wealth.
Rogers has been doing the same thing and that concerns him. He doesn't like to be buying investments that everyone else also thinks are a good thing to be buying.
When asked where gold prices are going to go Rogers refuses to answer saying that he is not nearly smart enough to predict short-term movements in anything. Tongue in cheek, he suggests that viewers should tune into Yahoo Finance for such expertise.
Rogers expects turmoil in the currency markets over the foreseeable future. He doesn't think there are any sound currencies any more. If he had to choose to have his cash in any currency, he would pick the Canadian and New Zealand dollar.
His favorite investment right now... agriculture.
