Ladies and gentlemen, I hereby open this year's Annual General Meeting of MTU Aero Engines AG. It will again take place as a Virtual General Meeting. The German legislator has placed the Virtual General Meeting on an equal footing with a face-to-face meeting and designed it in such a way that it offers, without any restrictions, shareholders the same participation and ownership rights as a face-to-face meeting.
For us, there is the added aspect of better accessibility for our international shareholders and the avoidance of the climate impact of several hundred people traveling to the meeting in person. As a technology company, we also consider the virtual AGM to be a modern, convenient and shareholder-friendly format that takes into account the global trend of digitalization. We have dispensed with the option of ordering advanced questions due to the feedback from shareholders in recent years who prefer a live exchange.
